The adventure follows Kratos' wife and Atreus' mother, Laufey (or Faye), after her death and arrival in the afterlife of the gods, known as the Everywhen, according to Laufey's talking gelatinous cube and sword ribbon partners. The concept is novel for God of War and seems to take place during the events of God of War (2018), but considering the world is called the Everywhen, it's hard to say exactly when the game takes place on the God of War timeline.God of War Laufey releases February 16, 2027, on PlayStation 5.
