Stellar Blade is a fast-paced action game that dropped in 2024, and we thought it was, well, stellar. Today's Summer Game Fest showcase announced the series' return, now with a new protagonist named Evie, but with all the style and action we know and love from the first game. Check out the reveal trailer below:

We didn't initially know what game the footage was from when we watched the trailer live, but several of our editors quickly picked up on the groovy soundtrack, a standout feature from the original Stellar Blade. Once the combat kicked in, the resemblance was undeniable, but Evie doesn't use a sword – she takes on foes using nothing but her fists. The game also looks fantastic, and if you watched the livestream, we'd recommend checking out the trailer again to see it in its full, uncompressed glory.

The game is still a ways out, with no release window announced yet, but we're eager to learn when it is – and even more eager to play. For more Stellar Blade, check out our interview with the game's developers.
