Battlefield 6's Battle Royale Mode Is Called REDSEC, Is Free-To-Play, And Launches Tomorrow

It's official: the rumored (and heavily leaked) Battlefield 6 battle royale mode is real, and it's free-to-play, launches tomorrow on October 28, and is called REDSEC. This news arrives via the official gameplay trailer premiere countdown on the Battlefield YouTube channel, which features a header image showcasing the REDSEC name and a description that says it will be free-to-play and launching tomorrow. 

This battle royale mode has long been rumored, with Insider Gaming publishing an article more than a month ago stating it will launch on October 28. Since then, various leaks have emerged to reveal details today's premiere countdown confirms, like the free-to-play nature and the name. Regardless, REDSEC is real and launching tomorrow. We'll update this story tomorrow when the trailer goes live.
