The last time we got a trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV was in 2022. In the years since, fans have been clamoring for more information about the highly anticipated sequel, poring through screenshots and more for any glimmer of new details. Perhaps surprising everyone, Kingdom Hearts IV appeared during today's Nintendo Direct with a new gameplay trailer that also revealed it will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Unfortunately, this trailer didn't say when that launch will be, so the wait continues. But this new trailer has plenty to look at, including gameplay in modern-day Tokyo, featuring a new look at the game's action combat in Shibuya. In it, we see a more realistic take on Sora fighting off Heartless in the city, and it looks awesome.
